Discussions > Re: Landscape versus┬áportrait

Hi Petra

I noticed that all (most) of your images are taken in landscape orientation.
I want to incorporate some photos taken on an iPhone in portrait orientation.
I am not sure what the effect will be once I export from lLghtroom!
Can you give me any ideas as to what ratio I should use?

Many thanks
Eli

Hi Eli,
I can import these as portraits, and let Quicktime Pro 7 add the padding to left and right. Or, you can crop the image into landscape and keep moving the crop from the top to the bottom of the picture -- so when you play it, it will look like someone is moving a magnifying mirror over a photo. There is no need to show the whole photo at the same time.
